An international youth exchange organization providing “youth mobility, intercultural learning and international voluntary service opportunities to help people break down prejudices and develop intercultural understanding and competence for a more just and peaceful world.” Up until the 1990s, the ICYE stood for the “International Christian Youth Exchange”. The name was changed to reflect their “clear emphasis on the inter-cultural and inter-religious dimension of the exchange programme”
