With an aim to ” to address social and environmental challenges in civil society and academic life”, it seeks to uncover “how the humanities may contribute to pro-environmental behaviour.” Instead of defining a single research agenda appropriate for this inquiry, each observatory addresses different thematic strains in its region. Observatories also collaborate on issues such as food justice and climate migration.
