Founding Year: 1999



Alliance of youth-led and youth-serving organizations in more than 190 countries. Acts as an incubator of global partnerships and a global information provider. Various membership levels are open to any organization that supports young people and does not advocate hatred or violence. More than 1,200 organizations have applied for GYAN to date. In 2004 it was granted affiliate status with the UN Department of Public Information, and in 2005, Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
