The Global Network on Energy for Sustainable Development is a “UNEP-facilitated knowledge network of Member Centres and network partners worldwide, renowned for their work on energy, development, and environmental issues.” These “Member Centres and Associates coordinate joint activities, exchange information, carry out analytical studies, and supply policy support.” GNESD “makes it easier for each Member Centre to provide environmentally sound energy policy advice supporting sustainable development.”
