Global Food Safety Initiative (2000; France; 10 Staff;

The landmark initiative of the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) works to address the global food safety crisis. It aims “to build consumers’ trust in the food they buy – no matter where their food has come from, nor where in the world they live – by improving food safety management practices.” The initiative is a “collaboration between the world’s leading food safety experts from retailer, manufacturer and food service companies, as well as service providers associated with the food supply chain.” They all work together in an attempt to provide “continuous improvement in food safety management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to consumers.”
