It is designed to “provide a financial reward for climate mitigation services, maximize social and ecological co-benefits, and achieve a safe climate.”  It is “managed with internationally coordinated monetary policy, and the aim is to ensure that the reward is sufficient to ensure that carbon neutrality is reached by a definite time.” The Global Carbon Reward (GCR) is a proposed financial incentive that will be offered for mitigated carbon.
