The Gatsby Charitable Foundation is an endowed grant-making trust “set up by David Sainsbury (Lord Sainsbury of Turville) to to provide funding for charitable causes.” It acts not only as a funder, but also as an “enabler for projects, designing, developing, overseeing and, in some cases, delivering activities.” Consequently, GCF proactively works to “identify areas of need, commission research and design interventions in partnership with sector and industry experts.”
