It promotes a culture of collaborative dialogue between multiple stakeholders and sectors to encourage the search for innovative solutions. It also looks to generate new capacities, strengthen the process of public policy implementing and change conflicts into collaborative situations. They aim to advance innovative mechanisms of good governance in Latin America and integrate sustainable models on a regional level.
Initiatives:
- Dialogue and Capacities for Climate Change – Multi-sector exchange and stakeholder integration to produce a public policy on climate change action and development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Peace Building and Border Zones – Consolidating social fabrics with a sensitive approach to conflict and peacebuilding, with an emphasis on young people and women in Latin America’s border zones.
- Strengthening Local Capacities – Strengthening the capacities of local governments, social organizations and communities to drive sound governance systems.
- Water Governance – Strengthening governance for integrated water management in regional watersheds.
- Marine Governance – The process of creating and consolidating innovative systems of governance in protected marine and coastal areas.
- Intercultural Territories – Promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening capacities for cross-cultural administration and governance.
- Regional Forums on the Transformation of Socio-Environmental Conflicts in Latin America – It is a regional space for collective construction of knowledge about environmental conflict transformation, linking the academic, social and political spheres.
