Friends of Nature

Friends of Nature (1993; China; fon.org.cn)

The earliest nationwide environmental NGOs in China uses “programs in environmental education, low-carbon household, ecological community, litigation, policy advocacy, and others” to try and  “rebuild the bond between human beings and nature, preserve the ecosystem and promote the growth of more green citizens.” This work is in line with their mission of promoting “public awareness of environmental issues and create platforms for public participation in environmental decision-making.”
