It works to establish an international mechanism to manage a rapid and equitable transition away from coal, oil, and gas; phasing out fossil fuels, supporting dependent economies, workers, and communities in diversifying away from fossil fuels, ensuring global access to renewable energy, and promoting a just transition that leaves no one behind.

  • The Global Registry of Fossil Fuels – An “open-source database of oil, gas and coal production and reserves globally, expressed in CO2-equivalent.” It “aims to improve understanding of extraction impacts on the remaining carbon budget and ultimately to inform its management by decision makers.”
