It works in the coordination of public research efforts aimed at developing more efficient and cost-effective sustainable energy solutions. It is the research pillar of the EU Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan), which is the EU’s policy to expedite the development and commercial adoption of essential low-carbon technologies. Its integrated research programs assist guarantee that the resources invested in low-carbon technologies each year are focused on the best solutions.
