EU Non-Proliferation Consortium

Founding Year: 2010

Is a network of over 60 think tanks created by the EU and tasked with bringing policy actors as well as research and academic institutions together in order to encourage political and security related discussions in the field of non-proliferation and disarmament. It strives to spread awareness about “challenges related to Weapons of Mass Destruction and conventional weapons proliferation” in third world countries in addition to highlighting the need for collaboration between the EU countries and the UN to halt proliferation programs worldwide. The Consortium aims to fulfill its mission through “the organization of expert meetings, international conferences, ad hoc seminars, consultative meetings with representatives of EU institutions” as well as its outreach projects and the educational internships it offers.
