A non-governmental organization dedicated to “advocate for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women and girls.” It strove to put significant international pressure on governments to enforce and enact good laws, as well as to change attitudes. Consequently, it “directs the global public and media attention on individual cases of abuse while also advocating with policymakers and using international human rights law.”
