Ecosystems Marketplace

Ecosystems Marketplace is a “web-based information platform” and an initiative of Forest Trends that works to increase transparency and provide reliable information for ecosystem services and payment schemes. It believes that “enabling market-based mechanisms to mediate supply and demand, and put a price on vital economic services would help sustain these services.” By providing “freely-accessible information,” EM strives to “facilitate transactions (thereby lowering transaction costs), catalyze new thinking and spur the development of new markets and the infrastructure that supports them.”
