Lester R. Brown (Founder & Director)

was an independent non-profit environmental think tank founded by Lester R. Brown in 2001 and closed with his retirement at the age of 81 in 2015. EPI provides research and analysis on environmental indicators and gives policy and lifestyle recommendations aimed at promoting environmental and economic sustainability. Its website offers articles, data resources, and select free downloads of its books.
