Is an initiative co-founded by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI). It consists of a “global collaboration of energy research teams” working towards transitioning to a low-carbon economy by cutting back greenhouse gas emissions in their respective countries. DDPP’s scientific research teams were picked from “leading research institutions in sixteen of the world’s largest greenhouse gas emitting countries” in order to contribute to the internationally agreed upon target of reducing the global mean surface temperature to at least 2°C.
