The Counterpart International is a non-profit organization, which aims to “turn the making of things into a positive force for people, economy, and planet.” It strives for a world where “safe materials and products are designed and manufactured in a prosperous, circular economy to maximize health and wellbeing.” The Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program works to guide “innovation and development by assessing product quality” based on “material health, product circularity, renewable energy and climate, water and soil stewardship, and social fairness.”
