Is a partnership between public, private, philanthropic, and civil organisations that aims to prevent and contain infectious disease epidemics. It collects donations to finance research projects focused on developing vaccines against emerging infectious diseases with a focus on World Health Organisation‘s blueprint of priority diseases. By developing suitable vaccines against potentially epidemic-causing pathogens, this coalition aims to eradicate these epidemics before they turn into large-scale health emergencies. In order to avoid future humanitarian disasters caused by epidemics, CEPI strives to make vaccines readily available where and when needed most.
