Is a non-profit research and analysis organization “dedicated to developing actionable solutions to complex problems of national importance.” CNA takes a real-world approach when gathering information by “getting as close as possible to the people, the data, and the problems themselves,” in order to provide decision-makers with credible intel on which to base their optimal course of action. Its research portfolio includes defense-related matters for the U.S. Department of the Navy, criminal justice, energy security, water resources, data analysis and education.

Solution Centers:

  • Center for Naval Analysis: implements 7 programs to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of U.S. national defense efforts.
  • Institute for Public Research: implements 5 programs pertaining to research and analysis in various domestic issue areas.
  • Military Advisory Board: includes 15 retired Generals and Admirals from the US Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, and one retired British Rear Admiral joined to asses the impact of current pressing issues on America’s national security.
