The NTS Centre is a research centre based at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. It “conducts research and produces policy-relevant analyses aimed at furthering awareness and building capacity to address NTS issues and challenges in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.” Non-Traditional Security focuses on security treats “from non-military sources, such as climate change, resource scarcity, infectious diseases, natural disasters, irregular migration, food shortages, people smuggling, drug trafficking and transnational crime.”
