The Centre for Agri-Environmental Research is “based in the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development and established by the University of Reading to build on and integrate the University’s strengths in agricultural and environmental research.” It “hosts environmental science laboratories, office accommodation, and teaching facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.” CAER also conducts research outside of the university on a “large number of commercial farms, and within a range of nature reserves and protected areas.” Consequently, it provides an opportunity to “apply multi-disciplinary approaches to societal challenges around sustainable agriculture.”
