It “identifies and promotes technological solutions to environmental and human development challenges.” This is done with an aim to “accelerate the transition to a future where all the world’s inhabitants can enjoy secure, free, and prosperous lives on an ecologically vibrant planet” by changing the way Americans think about the environment, the economy, and politics in order to meet the new challenges of the 21st century.
