The joint initiative of the Economist Impact and The Nippon Foundation works to tackle “visible and invisible ocean pollution to shape, inspire and catalyse progress.” It’s impact will be measured by “how awareness of chemical pollution as a priority for ocean health is evolving, and how this in turn is shaping the longer-term objective of zero pollution.”

  • Plastic Management Index – measures, compares and contrasts the efforts made by a selection of 25 countries at different stages of development in their management of plastics, covering the entire lifecycle of plastic products.
