It promotes a certified recyclers program for reuse of recycled original equipment (ROE; original manufactured parts), and training through ARA University. It also sets standards for environmental and safety issues and keeps a membership roster of approximately 4000 businesses.  The organisation also hosts regional and national conferences on parts recycling and disposal of vehicles.
