The Website that was put here was not from the Schwarzenegger Institute but from the Environmental Digital Legislative Handbook which is a project of the institute.

The University of Southern California Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy is “committed to advancing post-partisanship, where leaders put people over political parties and work together to find the best ideas and solutions to benefit the people they serve.” It was designed to help state and local lawmakers craft environmental legislation and find solutions to the serious challenges they face in areas like education, energy & environment, fiscal & economic policy, health & human wellness, and political reform.

Projects:

  • Hydrogen Highway – providing more than 50 operational fueling systems across California that would support the growing market of hydrogen vehicles on the road.
  • Sunrise Powerlink – A 117-mile line that connects San Diego with the Imperial Valley and went into service June 17, 2012
  • i2S: Interdisciplinary Sustainability Sciences Research Group – Working on the premise that “today’s most pressing environmental problems are ultimately the products of human decision-making and behavior. Changing behavior is therefore an essential element in creating a sustainable future for humankind”
  • HIGHLIGHT: The Environmental Digital Legislative Handbook, in collaboration with the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators, is a portal of environmental laws that both protect the environment and promote job growth in the fields of air quality, energy efficiency, renewable energy, human health, and climate change.

Leadership: Conyers Davis (Global Director), Arnold Schwarzenegger (Chairman)
